On motion of Mr Bradbury, ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of repealing an Act passed June 28, 1820 establishing the duties to be paid by certain officers therein named, or that part of said act, which requires Justices of the Peace to pay a duty of Five Dollars for their Commission. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

On motion of Mr Cobb, ordered, that a message be sent to the Governor and Council informing them that Roscoe G. Greene, having been duly elected Secretary of State, has signified his acceptance and is ready to take and subscribe the oaths necessary to qualify him to enter upon the discharge of his official duties; which message was delivered by the Secretary.
