79 A message was received from the House of Representatives informing the Senate that the House have reconsidered the vote whereby they passed the above order; which said order was read and laid upon the table.

The Resolve relating to the public lands returned by the Governor with his objections, to the Senate, the House in which it originated, was taken up and reconsidered, and on the question, "Shall the Resolve pass notwithstanding the objections of the Governor?" it was decided by yeas and nays in the negative as follows, to wit, Nays, Messrs. Allen, Bradbury, Bridgham, Cogswell, Cobb, Emmons, Farnham, Frye, Groton, Howard, Knowlton, Kelsey, Labaree, Manning, Pease, Pierce, Porter, Prescott, Rogers, Smith, Tobin and Williamson _____22.
