Bill defining the mode of calling the first meetings of corporations. Bill to annex a part of Newburg to Hampden, Resolve in favour of Simon Lovitt, Bill for the preservation of Lewiston Bridge, Bill to annex a part of Frankfort to Swanville, Resolve in favour of Samuel Shorey, were severally read a second time, and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to alter the time of holding a meeting of the county Commissioners, in Penobscot county, was read a second time and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.

The Select Committee, to whom was committed a Resolve respecting Banks, reported a Bill entitled an act respecting stock in Banks and other incorporated Companies, which Bill was substituted for said Resolve, read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill additional to alter law establishing Bowdoin College, reported by the committee on the Judiciary, was read once, and Monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading; and ordered that three hundred copies of said Bill be printed for the use of the Legislature.

The committee on Bills in second reading reported Bill to incorporate the Penobscot Boom Corporation, as taken into a new draft, by leave of the Senate, and the same was read a second time and passed.
