Resolve to admit James Curtis to practice law in the Courts of this State, reported by a joint select committee, was read once and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Resolve in favour of Samuel Seavey and Thomas Trundy, Resolve in favour of John R. Stinson, Peleg Bradford, and Abner H. Wade, reported by the committee in Claims, were severally read once and Wednesday next, at ten o'clock, assigned for a second reading.

Order from the House, directing the joint standing and special committees of the two Houses to report on all subjects referred to them on or before Thursday the 23rd instant, read and passed, in concurrence.

On motion of Mr Keith, ordered, that from and after the 27th instant the Senate hold two sessions a day commencing at half past nine o'clock in the morning and at half past two in the afternoon, until otherwise ordered.

Bill for the encouragement of Manufactures and Agriculture was taken up and committed to Messrs Eastman, Scammon and Burnham.

Bill respecting Colleges came up from the House referred to the committee on Literary Institutions frog concurrence and the Senate concurred.
