Bill additional to an act establishing Bowdoin College caem up from the House. The House adhering to their vote indefinitely postponing said Bill. The Senate reconsider all their former votes on this subject, adopt a new draft of said Bill and pass the same to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
Bill to annex a part of the town of, Brownfield to the town of Denmark, reported by the committee on the incorporation of towns, was read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
Bill to establish the fees of Clerks of Courts and giving further remedy on Clerk's Bonds was read a second time and amended. And a motion was made by Mr Burnham to indefinitely postpone the same; which question, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit; Yeas, Messrs. Bridgeham, Burnham, Davee, Dunlap, Emerson, Gibson, Groton, Goodwin, Keith, Megquier, Merrill, Sweat, Talbot, Thompson, & Webb. 15. Nays. Messrs. Boutelle, Eastman, Hunton, Hodgman, Lithgow, Porter, Scammon, Smith and Thayer, ---- 9. Sent down for concurrence.
