Tuesday, January, 28, 1834.

Petition of Asa A. Wyman and others, inhabitants of Milburn for a Dam at Augusta; read and referred to the Committee that have that subject under consideration, in concurrence.

Petition of George Lothrop and others, that the Land Agent may be authorized to give deeds to certain persons, who were to have had deeds of the Land Agent of 1833, read and referred to the Committee on State Lands, in concurrence.

Petition of Benjn. Weston Jr. and others for a law, making the taking and converting of Logs without the owner's consent, Larceny to be punished by imprisonment; read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary, in concurrence.

Remonstrance of Inhabitants of Prospect against the passage of a law requiring the use of Broad Rimmed Wheels; read and referred the Committee that have that subject under consideration, in concurrence.

Report of Committee on the Judiciary to which was referred an order instructing them to enquire into the expediency of so altering the laws, that the defendant in any suit, on which wood or timber land may have been attached, shall be prevented from making strip and waste thereon, pending the suit, reported that legislation on that subject is inexpedient. Read and accepted in concurrence.

Order from the House instructing the Committee on Parishes to enquire into the expediency of passing a law by which Meetinghouses and Meetinghouse lots that proprietors have given to Parishes, shall revert to proprietors
