Mr. Cogswell from the Committee on Banks and Banking to which was referred the petition of James Thomas and others, reported reference to the next Legislature. Sent down for concurrence.
The same gentleman from the same Committee reported leave to withdraw on petition of the Exchange Bank, read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.
Resolve in favor of the Passamaquoddy Indians came up from the House, read and on motion of Mr. Knowlton, laid on the table.
Petition of Levi G. Fletcher and others, inhabitants of Bingham for a Dam at Augusta, read and referred to the Committee that have that subject under consideration, in concurrence.
Petition of the Directors of the Winthrop Bank for an extension of the time allowed said Bank to close up its concerns; read and referred to the Committee on Banks and Banking in concurrence.
