176 Wednesday, February 5th 1834

Petition of the Selectmen of Carthage, Wilton and Weld for aid from the State to repair a road; read and referred to the Committee on State Roads in concurrence.

Remonstrance of John Moulton and others against converting the Ministerial Fund in the town of Porter into a school fund, read and referred to the Committee that have that subject under consideration in concurrence.

Petition of John Sawtelle Inn and sundry inhabitants of Sidney, of Richard Mills and sundry inhabitants of Belgrade of Thomas Burgess and sundry inhabitants of Fairfield of Elisha Coolidge and sundry inhabitants of Solon of Joshua Fogg and sundry inhabitants of Cornville of John Lunt and sundry inhabitants of Clinton for a Dam across the Kennebec River at Augusta. Remonstrance of James Ford and others agasint the same; severally read and referred to the Committee that have subject under consideration in concurrence.

Resolve in favour of Sewall Prescott came up from the House referred to the Committee on Claims. The Senate recede from their vote passing said Resolve to be engrossed and refer the same in concurrence.

Bill additional establishing salaries for Judges and Registers of Probate came up, the House having refused said Bill a passage, The Senate, on motion of Mr Bradbury, order that the same lay upon the table
