A message was received from the Senate informing the House that there are two vacancies at the Senate Board from the County of Somerset and that Charles Green, James Mantor, Levi Johnson, and Obed Wilson are the constitutional candidates to fill those vacancies and proposing a convention at half past two o'clock in the Representatives Hall for the purpose of filling said vacancies - and the House concurred in the proposition of the Senate & the Clerk acquainted the Senate therewith.

Petition of Edward Teal of South Berwick for leave to change his name, was read and referred to the committee on change of names.

Agreeably to assignment the two Houses met in convention & proceeded to ballot for two Senators to fill the vacancy at the Senate Board from the County of Somerset and on counting the ballots it appeared that the whole number given was One hundred and eighty seven - necessary to constitute an election ninety four - That Charles Green had One hundred & twenty, James Mantor One hundred and twenty, Levi Johnson Sixty seven & Obed Wilson Sixty seven and Charles Green & James Mantor were declared duly elected & then the convention separated.
