[201] Tuesday February 11 1834

Order from the House, directing the Secretary of State to transmit forthwith, to the Town Clerks of the several towns in the County of York, attested copies of a Resolve relating to the building of a Gaol, in the County of York, was read and passed in concurrence.

Order from the House, appointing Messrs Mildram, Moore of Dover, Judkins, Robinson of Bethel, and Bradbury of Saco a Committee with such as the Senate may join, to inquire into the expediency of repealing so much of an act, entitled an act to establish a medical school in this State, passed June 27th 1820? as gives said School one Thousand Dollars annually during the pleasure of the Legislature; with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. Read and passed, and Messrs Knowlton, Tobin and Groton are joined in concurrence.

Order from the House appointing Messrs Jewett, Hastings, Tuttle, Jarvis, Vose of Augusta, Chase of Frankfort, Hyde, Hammond, Bolster and Smart of the House with such as the Senate may join, a Committee to inquire into the expediency of ascertaining the number of blind persons within this State, of thirty years of age and under, and also to consider the expediency of making an appropriation for their education, with leave to report by bill or otherwise, Read and passed and Messrs Emmons and Manning are joined in concurrence.

Order from the House appointing the Delegation of the County of Penobscot on the part of the House, a Committee, with such as the Senate may join, to inquire into the expediency of altering the setting of the Courts of Probate in the County of Penobscot. Read and passed, and Messrs Rogers and Kelsey are joined in concurrence.
