Order from the house, instructing the Committee on Interior Fisheries to inquire into the expediency of or repealing an act to regulate the Herring Fishery approved March 19, 1821, read and passed in concurrence.

Petition of John A. Phelps and others to be set off from Berlin and annexed to Weld, was read and referred to the Committee on Division of Towns, in concurrence.

Petition of Benjamin Randall and others, for the establishment of a Municipal Court in the town of Bath, was read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary, in concurrence.

Petition of Hall Clements, for damage by him sustained, in consequence of not receiving his pay when it became due, for making a part of the Canada road, was read and referred to the Committee on claims in concurrence.

Petition of R.H. Gardiner and others praying for a modification of the act, incorporating the Savings Bank at Gardiner, was read, and referred to the Committee on Banks and Banking, in concurrence.

Remonstrance of inhabitants of Woolwich against the division of Lincoln County, was read and referred to the Committee that have that subject under consideration, in concurrence.
