Academy, Bill to incorporate the Belfast Screw Dock Company, Bill to incorporate the Bangor Horticultural Society, and Resolve for the aid of the Deaf and Dumb, severally read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr Farnham from the Committee on Claims, to which was referred the petition of Solomon Raymond for aid, reported that the claim of the said Raymond ought not to be allowed - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr Groton from the Committee on the Judiciary, to which was referred from the last to the present Legislature, Bill enlarging the jurisdiction of the Court of Common Pleas in Criminal cases, reported that it is inexpedient for said Bill to become a law, read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Resolves providing for amendments of the Constitution of the State, came up from the House amended and a passage refused. the Senate nonconcur the House in the proposed amendment and in refusing said Resolves a passage and insist on their former vote in passing the same to be engrossed.
