I have the honor to be your obt servt. D. Farnsworth. Which resignation was read and accepted. Whereupon, The Senate, on motion of Mr Prescott, ordered, that Messrs. Prescott, Pierce and Chandler be a Committee to ascertain the Constitutional Candidates from which a selection id to be made to fill the vacancy at this Board occasioned by the resignation of the Hon. Drummond Farnsworth from the tenth Senatorial District, who reported that John Read and Henry Warren are the Constitutional candidates to fill said vacancy.

On motion of Mr Prescott, ordered that a message be sent to the House of Representatives informing them that Hon. Drummond Farnsworth, a Senator from the tenth Senatorial District, (County of Somerset) has resigned his seat at the Senate Board, thereby producing a vacancy in the Senate - and that John Read and Henry Warren are the Constitutional Candidate to fill said vacancy --- and proposing a convention of the two Branches of the Legislature in the Representatives Hall, tomorrow at eleven o'clock in the forenoon for the purpose of electing one of said candidates to fill said vacancy; and requesting the concurrence of the House. Which message was delivered by the Secretary

A message was received from the House concurring in the foregoing proposition.

Bill additional giving giving further remedies in case of wilful trespass was taken up and indefinitely postponed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
