129 Monday February 1st 1836

Met according to adjournment.

On motion by Mr Potter of Augusta

 Ordered that Messrs Potter of Augusta, McIntire of Parsonsfield, Soule of Freeport, Rollins of Nobleboro; Noyes of Trenton, Lippincot of Columbia McMillan of Fryeburg, Cole of Monson Adams of Lincoln and Boardman of Islesboro with such as the Senate may join be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so altering the law, relative to criminal prosecutions, as that each County shall pay the costs arising in such prosecutions at the terms of the Judicial Courts held in such County - Also that the respective Counties shall be entitled to receive and retain to their own use, all fines, forfeitures and costs accruing in criminal prosecutions within said Counties. Sent up for concurrence. 

Resolve in favor of the Proprietors of Township No 6 in the 3rd range West from the east line of the State was read once and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a third reading.

Bill An Act to incorporate the town of Greenville was read 1st and 2nd time and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a third reading.

Bill An Act to alter and establish the dividing line between the Towns of Montville and Freedom was read a 1st and 2nd time and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.
