Petition of Inh of Bloomfield - of Abraham Wyman and others for a change of the name of the town of Bloomfield to Skowhagan, were severally read and referred to the Committee who have under consideration the petition of Samuel Weston and others- Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Moses White for a township of settling lands on certain conditions - was read and referred in concurrence to the Conditions- was read and referred in concurrence to the Committee on State Lands. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Wait of Falmouth

 Ordered, That the Land Agent be requested to transmit to this House the facts relating to one John Mason of Falmouth deceased who was an enlisted soldier in the late revolutionary war.

On motion by Mr Holmes of Alfred,

 Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law for ceding to the United States jurisdiction over sites or places designated for the erection of forts, magazines, arsenals, dockyards and other needful buildings," and to enable the United States to hold lands for such purposes. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill An Act to annex a tract of land to Waldo Plantation, was read a 3rd time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

Bill An Act further regulating Judicial Proceedings came from the Senate indefinitely postponed the House nonconcurred and read the Bill 1st and 2nd time and tomorrow at 10 oclock was assigned for a third reading.
