Bill to incorporate the Damariscotta Steam Navigation Company (reported by Mr. Miller from the Committee on Interior Waters, on petition of James S. Waters and others) read once and Friday next at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Bill to change the name of the Maine Granite Company (laid on the table by Mr. Jewett) was read twice and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill additional respecting, Bridges was taken up. Mr. Fish moved to nonconcur the House in the indefinite postponement of said Bill and insist on the vote passing the same to be appointed; and the question to insist and appoint Conferees, being ordered to be taken yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative, as follows, to wit; Yeas. Messrs. Fish, Kelsey, Lathan, Merrow, Miller, Purrington, Spear, Staples, Strickland, Swift + Talbot 11. Nays. Messrs. Benson, Frye, Greene, Jarvis, McIntire, Pierce, Robinson, Severance and Weeks 9.
