Dec 28th All quiet along the line today

29th I was detaled and went on railroad guard. It rained in the mor'g [morning]

30th All quiet on the rappahanock [Rappahanock]

31st We wer relieved returned and returned to camp. It rained all day. Jonathan Ireland came after his brothers body that was buried here last month.
