96 In the Division Hospital
September 13th 1864 Cold and windy. We was relieved from picket in the morning 14th I do not feel very well, have a sore throat and my neck is large
15th I put my name on the sick report, and the surgeon says I had better go back to the division hospital tomorrow morning. Cavelry and infantry went out in front on a reconisence and came back in three hours without losing much. We expect an attack on our left and are all ready I feel rather unwell today
16 I am no better this morning. I took an ambulance and went to the hospital. got there at one o'clock P.M.
17th I am no better. No news of importence today.
18th I don't feel so well A.M. A little better P.M.
19th I feel better this morning
