118 Stephen Fellows dies

Saturday Jan 21st 1865 A cold sleaty storm comensed very early in the morning and continued all day steady.

22d The storm still still rages all day

23d The sky is still cloudy and occasionaly a shower

24th Cleard off in the A.M. I just had news of the death of Uncle Stephen Fellows. He died Jan 14th. He is an old pensioner and served in the war of 1812 and was wounded in the side by a piece of shell at the battle of Lundie's Lane [Lundy's Lane]

25th A fair and cold day. My company officers are still absent and I have to asume the whole responsibility.

26th A verry cold time. Pri Ingleham's chimney fell into his tent in the evening and tore the roof of the tent off but not happen to hurt any one

24th Pri Ingleham got his tent up again

28th Fair and cold

29th An inspection at 10 o'clock A.M. Tim Drue came to see me. M Hamon has gone to city point on a 24 hour pass.
