Bangor June 9, 1862

Sir,

I have the Honor to report to you that I was taken by the Rebels at Bull Run and released at Salisbury N. C. on the 21st of May--1862, on parole I am in good health and condition and wish to remain in the service and to have the privilege of rejoining my company and Regiment at the earliest day.
