The undersigned seek this manner of calling your attention to the personal worth and experiance of Mr. Charles Bridges of Castine.
Mr. Bridges is now a [?] officer in Company B 2nd Reg Maine Vol; has acted well his part in all the service of that gallant Regiment, and would now line an appointment as Lieut.
Feeling, therefore, that his character and experience eminently fit him for such a place, we shall feel especially gratified if in your power to grant it.
