- ited to write you- which I most cheerfully do- in favor of Alonzo K Myrick of Sedgwicj being appoin -ted as drill officer in Co. commanded by R.B. Bickford, in [residence?] at "Camp Pope."

       Mr. Myrick is a private

in Co B. 2 Me Regt and has been with the Regt. since its or -ganization till recently. He is now in Hospital at Washington having been wounded in the recent battles. He is a worthy- talendted- and educated young man with strictly moral habits.
