�March, Thursday, 5, 1863.

In camp to day nothing of any consequence has taken place to day.

Friday, 6.

Out on Picket guard again to day. the weather was very pleasant in the forenoon but in the afternoon it clouded up and rained some in the night.

Saturday, 7.

Came in from Picket this morning at 9 oclock and was in quarters the rest of day. wrote a letter to a friend in Brookline in the afternoon and cleaned up my Saber. Pistol and carabine for Insepction.

March, Sunday, 8. 1863

To day I was on Orderly duty at the Gen'ls Headquarters. Carryed a message to the 123 N.Y. Regt. in the fore noon. in the afternoon went with the Gen'l down to Gen Williams and over to the 123rd N.Y. 20th Conn. and 125th Pa Regts.

Monday, 9.

This morning I got a pass and went down to Hopes Landing. to see if I could find a box there for me. but I could not find any got back to camp at 3 oclok in the afternoon. I went to Aquia Steemboat Landing.

Tuesday, 10.

In Camp to day. nothing of eny impartance has taken place.
