� 194 July 30 cont'd 1862 Harrison Landing

Am studying the battle of Waterloo. Have copied three maps showing the plan of the battle, the movement during the previous few days and the position of forces at first and last attacks. Am also looking up Jomini's [something stricken] comments in his last work scattered all along through it, in this great battle.

I would like to read his work on Waterloo exclusively. I believer there is one somewhere.

Have copied from the Army register names of officers appointed from Maine -- Grover, Howe, Keyes, Williams and Price are all Generals in Volunteer Service.
