Frank W. Smith. Gorham. Co. A. 5th Reg't. Discharg- ed at Alexandria, Sept. 5 -/61 by "Lt. Col. Isley" of the 5th reg't.

According to my orders such discharges as the last two I have reported, are not valid - + these two young men, tho discharged for disability, are very anxious to serve again with [underlined] a [underlined] commission [underlined] Shall I order such cases to report at Augusta?
