Fort Lafayette N.Y. Dec 14 1864

Genl Hodsdon

Sir

I am sorry to have to trouble you again on my account, but I have no one else to ask to intercede in my behalf only you. I was sentenced here for two years (2) which sentence will not expire until Oct 11 / 65. I served with the Regt three months and never rec'd a dollar for it, and five months I was awaiting trial and sentence in Augusta Maine and if I have to stay until Oct / 65 I will have served two years and eight months when I only enlisted for two years and the Court Martial stopped all my pay and allowances for the above named period
