Bill to increase the Capital Stock of the Washington County Bank was taken up. Mr. Frye moved that the same be indefinitely postponed. And the question was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit;

Yeas, Messrs Allen, Clark, Fish, Frye, Greene, Jewett, Johnson, Kelsey, Latham, Manter, McIntire, Miller, Pierce, Purington, Staples, Strickland, & Swift -- 17.

Nays, Messrs Benson, Jarvis, Severance, Spear and Talbot ------------ 5. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill to increase the Capital Stock of the Exchange Bank was taken up, and the question of passing the same to be engrossed was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit;

Bill to increase the Capital Sock of the Merchants Bank Portland was taken up and the questions of passing the same to be engrossed was decided in the negative (passage refused) as follows, to wit;
