[Continued--] Committee also deem it expedient for this Legislature to direct the overseers of the poor in the several towns in writing under their hands, to return unto this Legislature at its next session, the number of their paupers and the expenses incident to them in the years 1819 & 1820 separately, beginning with the first day of January in each and distinguishing the number and expenses of such paupers in said towns as have a lawful settlement therein respectively from those who are without such settlement and to this end they submit for consideration certain Resolves. In Senate June 27th 1820 Read and accepted so far as related to the reference of the subject to the next session and the printing of the bill. Sent down for concurrence Read and concurred.
[Bill-- further relief of Poor Prisoners] Bill, "for the further relief of poor prisoners committed by execution for debt" came back from the Senate with an amendment in which this House concur.
