to assess the quality of life of master's and doctoral students in health.

this is a cross-sectional study carried out with 503 master's and doctoral students from the Brazilian Center-West, using the WHOQOL-BREF to analyze their quality of life. Analysis included Cronbach's alpha coefficient, confirmatory factor analysis and bivariate and multivariate analyzes.

older age and having a child were associated with higher average quality of life scores, while diagnosis of anxiety/depression, difficulty in managing academic and personal activities and thinking about dropping out of course were associated with lower average scores in quality of life domains (p <0.05).

master's and doctoral students have reduced quality of life during the entire training period, mainly in psychological and physical health. The management of academic activities and dropping out of course are the main variables associated with decreased students' quality of life.

to analyze the correspondence between nurse and dental surgeon assessments in the application of an Oral Health Assessment in dental screening of elderly hospitalized patients.

cross-sectional study with elderly patients (n = 54) admitted to University Hospital from the Federal University of São Paulo. Data were collected through the assessment of oral cavity. Descriptive statistical techniques were used to analyze them, using tables and graphs.

there was correlation and agreement between nurse and dental surgeon assessments referring to application of an Oral Health Assessment in dental screening of hospitalized elderly.

oral Health Assessment in dental screening for hospitalized elderly by nurses demonstrated excellent reproducibility and may be a resource to identify buccal alteration, helping the planning and execution of nurse care associated to oral health.

to build and validate educational self-care technology for informal caregivers.

methodological study, anchored in the Delphi technique, carried out in a municipality in the state of Paraná, Brazil, between September 2018 and November 2019. It was developed in three stages situational diagnosis; elaboration of educational technology; content and appearance validation by expert judges and informal caregivers, using the content validity index and coefficient of variation.

after the steps of the methodological process, an educational technology called "Taking Care of Those Who Care" was produced, as an information tool that deals with the self-care of informal caregivers, receiving a content validity index above 0.86 and a variation coefficient. below 20% on all items.

the educational technology was built and evaluated with satisfactory rates by the specialists and target audience, showing a high correlation of agreement, characterizing it as adequate and informative to informal caregivers.

To map internal and external factors in an emergency care unit that interfere with interprofessional communicative practice.

This is a single case study carried out in the emergency care unit of a general hospital. Data were collected through participant observation, document analysis, and semi-structured interviews, and were triangulated and subjected to thematic analysis, out of categories defined a priori, based on the SWOT matrix.

Twenty-two health care professionals participated in the study. As for the strengths and opportunities, it was found that professionals understand the importance of communication as a safety measure, and they use the shift change and written communication to share information. However, overcrowding, work overload, the lack of behaviors standardization, the inexperience of professionals, and the deficit in the interprofessional relationship are factors that hinder effective communication.

The fragile interprofessional communicative process hampers interaction and information sharing for shared decisions that allow the safe continuity of care.

To compare the nursing technicians' perception with the nurses' self-perception of the exercise of nurses' coaching leadership and to check the influence of this leadership model on the safety climate and on the team's satisfaction.

This is a correlational study, carried out with 85 nurses and 85 nursing technicians, using the Questionnaire on the Nurse's Self-Perception of Leadership Exercise, the Questionnaire on Nursing Technicians' and Assistants' Perception of Leadership Exercise, and the subscales Safety climate and Satisfaction at Work. The relations among the professionals' responses were assessed using the Mann Whitney test and Spearman's coefficient.

Nurses achieved higher means in the four dimensions of coaching Leadership, and in three, the differences were significant (p < 0.05). The dimensions of Coaching Leadership obtained positive and significant correlations with the subscales Safety Climate and Satisfaction, the majority being of moderate magnitude.

Nurses' self-perception regarding the exercise of leadership was more positive than the technicians' assessment. The more the nurse exercises the dimensions of Coaching Leadership, the better the team's safety climate and satisfaction.

To know the nursing team work process in Children and Adolescents Psychosocial Care Centers in a city of the state of São Paulo.

This is a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory study, based on the approach of historical and dialectical materialism, carried out with the nursing team through participant observation and semi-structured interviews.

Eleven subjects from the nursing team participated in the study. The nursing team work process emerges from the dialectical tension of two categories the non-knowledge, based on the alienation of the nursing work process and subordination to the knowledge of the multidisciplinary team, and the knowledge based on the nursing clinic outlined within the biological and relational perspectives.

The nursing team work process takes place when guided by a non-knowledge resulting from alienation due to the knowledge of the other, and by knowledge through the implementation of the Nursing Process through the Nursing Care Systematization based on a biological perspective, considering relational and administrative aspects, which emerges as a contradiction.

To apprehend the factors related to the onset and/or worsening of urinary incontinence in the hospitalized elderly patient, considering the Donabedian's triad.

This is a qualitative, descriptive study, conducted with nurses and nursing technicians from a public university hospital. Data were collected using the focus group technique; content analysis was used for treatment and analysis, with subsequent coding of the registration units in the software WebQDA, relating the corpus obtained with the Donabedian's pillars.

The most reported factors related to the onset and/or worsening of urinary incontinence in hospitalized elderly patients were linked to the pillar structure, with emphasis on the attribute human resources, followed by the attributes material resources and physical structure; the second Donabedian's pillar with the greatest association with the reports was process and, finally, the pillar outcome.

The identification of factors related to the outcome investigated in the hospital environment provided the participants with reflection and awareness about the problem, therefore allowing the proposition of measures and interventions to minimize it and ensure safe and quality care to the hospitalized elderly patient.

To understand the meanings and perspectives attributed by men to the period lived in the Covid-19 pandemic.

Qualitative study structured on the concepts of phenomenology, based on Heidegger's ontic interpretation, carried out with 400 men residing in Brazil. Data was produced through a form made available online. The responses were processed in the NVIVO12 software and analyzed according to the Discourse of the Collective Subject.

Two units of analytical meanings revealed in discourse-synthesis emerged. These units were supported by central ideas and ordered in five subunits that represent the collectivity of the investigated phenomenon. The units are Being and being-in-the-world in the context of the pandemic - experiencing its possibilities and The vigor of the past and the present are presented as possibilities for a new future in the face of the pandemic.

The meanings and perspectives revealed a being-there in the context of the pandemic based on themselves, with changes in the routine and feelings and willingness to new possibilities and transformations, which generated psychosocial impact and coping and care strategies in the period of the pandemic. As implications, it is necessary to have a new understanding of the man-being, as they demonstrate the need for care, and for a care that goes beyond physical health.

This is a theoretical and reflective study, based on the scientific literature on the subject and on the researchers' experience. Childhood cancer survival is conceptualized as the process of living beyond the oncological diagnosis. A person is considered a cancer survivor from the diagnosis until the end of life and is at high risk of experiencing physical, psychosocial, and economic effects. Therefore, survival care shall minimize, as far as possible, these impacts throughout life. Such care includes an action plan to track and treat the persistent effects of therapy, preventing diseases and promoting healthy behaviors, not being restricted to monitoring oncological recurrence. In the national setting, challenges persist, such as the scarcity of policies to guide comprehensive, good quality, and coordinated survival care. www.selleckchem.com/Bcl-2.html Despite these challenges, the nurse occupies a privileged position and is competent to implement survival care and manage the effects related to cancer treatment.
