Dear Sir
As you will want some experienced officers in the 20th Regt. and as Frank S. Trickey will be recommended to you by Col. Chaplin, and others who have served in the 2d Maine Regt with him and know him well, I wish to testify to his good moral character and manliness from a small boy, as I have known him well, he having always lived a near neighbor to me.
He has been Orderly Sargent in Company A 2d Maine Regt for more than a year
