Neptune was one of the most noted of the Indian hunters. He was a tall, well-proportioned man weighing about 225 pound. He had a Roman nose, the distinguishing trait of all the Neptune family. He was noted here among the whites as being a man of great intellect He died about 1860 [struck through] May 8 1865 (gr.st) aged between 80 and 90 years.    One of his most famous hunts was his trip to the St. Lawrence with a company of eight Indians.
