This may certify that I have measured 24 sticks of timber for Kelley & [?] and find 42 tons & 21 feet.

$150 value received we promise to pay Jere[?] Goodwin the treasurer of the State of Maine or his order or to his successor in office on demand the hundred and fifty dollars for which sum we acknowledge ourselves jointly and severally bound to make payments
