House to acquaint the Senate they concur in the time & place assigned for forming a convention to fill the vacancies at their board.

A letter was received from the Hon. Albion R. Parris
Treasurer of the State [notice?]. Enclosing a copy of Resolutions passed by the late convention which framed the Constitution of this State, relating to the settlement to be made with the Treasurer and declaring himself [?] a candidate for the Office of Treasurer of the State.

Hon. Mr Moody of the committee of both houses
appointed to wait on the Hon William King & inform him that he has been elected agreeably to the provisions of the consti- tution Governor of the State of Maine, reported that the committee have performed that service & that the Governor elect was pleased to say, that he would meet the Hon Houses in convention at one o clock this day to be quatified agreeably to the constitution to enter all the duties of his office.

Agreeably to assignment the two houses met in
convention to fill the vacancies at the Senate board when the votes being received sorted & counted were found as follows.
Viz for the District of Cumberland the number of
votes 155. Necessary for a choice 78. & that the Hon. Barnet Potter had 128.

For the District of Lincoln whole number 155.
Necessary to a choice 78 & that the Hon Daniel Rose had 119 & is chosen.
