Overall positive attitudes towards AI implementation were observed. The slight apprehension may stem from the lack of technical understanding of AI technologies and AI training within the community. Greater educational programs focusing on AI principles are required to help increase European radiography workforce engagement and involvement in AI technologies.

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a novel non-invasive brain stimulation method that has demonstrated treatment efficacy in MDD. tDCS requires daily sessions, however clinical trials have been conducted in research centers requiring repeated visits. As tDCS is portable and safe, it could be provided at home. We developed a home-based protocol with real-time supervision, and we examined the clinical outcomes, acceptability and feasibility. Participants were 26 MDD (19 women), mean age 40.9 ± 14.2 years, in current depressive episode of moderate to severe severity (mean 17-item Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAMD) score 19.12 ± 2.12). tDCS was provided in a bilateral frontal montage, F3 anode, F4 cathode, 2 mA, each session 30 min, in a 6-week trial, for a total 21 sessions. Participants maintained their current treatment (antidepressant medication, psychotherapy, or were enrolled in online CBT). Two tDCS device brands were used, and a research team member was present in person or by real-time video call at each session. 92.3% MDD participants (n = 24) completed the 6-week treatment. Attrition rate was 7.7%. There was a significant improvement in depressive symptoms following treatment (mean HAMD 5.33 ± 2.33), which was maintained at 6 months (mean HAMD 5.43 ± 2.73). Acceptability was endorsed as "very acceptable" or "quite acceptable" by all participants. Due to the open-label feasibility design, efficacy findings are preliminary. In summary, home-based tDCS with real-time supervision was associated with significant clinical improvements and high acceptability which were maintained in the long term.Suicide is a common issue among major depressive disorder (MDD) patients and suicidal ideation (SI) is the first step toward it. There are no definitive objective biomarkers of SI relative to MDD. In this study, a seed-based correlation analysis was performed among 36 MDD patients with SI, 66 MDD patients without SI (NSI), and 57 healthy controls (HCs) using amygdala resting-state functional connectivity (RSFC). Furthermore, the correlation between amygdala RSFC and clinical features was examined in the SI group. When compared to the NSI group, SI group exhibited increased RSFC between the left amygdala seed and left medial superior frontal gyrus (SFGmed) as well as left middle frontal gyrus (MFG). In turn, a decreased RSFC was observed between the left amygdala seed and the following brain regions including the left inferior parietal lobule (IPL), right precentral gyrus (PrCG), and left superior parietal lobule (SPL) in SI group compared to NSI group. Moreover, the SI group exhibited increased RSFC of the right amygdala with left middle temporal gyrus (MTG); In addition, the RSFC of the left amygdala with left MFG was negatively associated with learning and memory (VSM), speed of processing (SOP). The RSFC of the amygdala is distinct between MDD patients with SI and without SI. Our findings reveal the neurobiological characteristics of MDD with respect to SI and provide new clues regarding vulnerability to mental illness. It is necessary to carry out repeated and more longitudinal researches using multimodal approaches on SI in the future.The European Prevention of Alzheimer Dementia (EPAD) is a multi-center study that aims to characterize the preclinical and prodromal stages of Alzheimer's Disease. The EPAD imaging dataset includes core (3D T1w, 3D FLAIR) and advanced (ASL, diffusion MRI, and resting-state fMRI) MRI sequences. Here, we give an overview of the semi-automatic multimodal and multisite pipeline that we developed to curate, preprocess, quality control (QC), and compute image-derived phenotypes (IDPs) from the EPAD MRI dataset. This pipeline harmonizes DICOM data structure across sites and performs standardized MRI preprocessing steps. A semi-automated MRI QC procedure was implemented to visualize and flag MRI images next to site-specific distributions of QC features - i.e. metrics that represent image quality. The value of each of these QC features was evaluated through comparison with visual assessment and step-wise parameter selection based on logistic regression. IDPs were computed from 5 different MRI modalities and their sanity and potential clinical relevance were ascertained by assessing their relationship with biological markers of aging and dementia. The EPAD v1500.0 data release encompassed core structural scans from 1356 participants 842 fMRI, 831 dMRI, and 858 ASL scans. Compliance in outpatients with gastrointestinal (GI) malabsorption is key in nutritional treatment. The objective of this study was to assess compliance in patients with GI impairment and malnutrition taking a high-calorie, high-protein, peptide-based oral nutritional supplement (ONS-PBD).

A prospective, multicenter, observational study was conducted in 19 medical sites in Spain where ONS-PBD were prescribed as standard of care. Patients consumed ONS-PBD daily for 12 wk. Compliance was calculated as the percentage consumed of the prescribed amount of ONS per day.

A total of 90 adult patients were included in the study, of whom 64 completed the 12-wk regimine. Mean compliance was 78.8% ± 24.5%. Risk of malnutrition decreased in 56.3% of patients at 12 wk, as measured with the malnutrition universal screening tool. A reduction in abdominal pain was observed and stool consistency improved, with a mean of 54.7% and 27.5%, respectively. Improvements in quality of life and a decrease in percentage of patients with severe functional impairment were observed.

These data show that ONS-PBD compliance in malnourished patients with GI symptoms is high, reducing GI symptoms and improving patients' nutritional status.

However, few members of this family have been functionally and mechanistically characterised in maize. In this study, we characterised a member of the AP2/ERF transcription factor family, ZmEREBP60 from maize. Amino acid sequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis showed that ZmEREBP60 belongs to cluster I of the AP2/ERF family. qRT-PCR analysis indicated that ZmEREBP60 expression was highly induced by drought in the roots, coleoptiles, and leaves. Subcellular localisation analysis revealed that ZmEREBP60 was localised in the nucleus. Moreover, overexpression of ZmEREBP60 enhanced tolerance to drought stress while alleviating the drought-induced increase in H2O2 accumulation and malondialdehyde content in transgenic lines. Transcriptome analysis showed that ZmEREBP60 regulates the expression of genes involved in H2O2 catabolism, water deprivation response, and abscisic acid signalling pathway. Collectively, as a new member of the AP2/ERF transcription factor family in maize, ZmEREBP60 is a positive regulator of plant drought response.

Here we present a four years old child diagnosed with complete branchial fistula by CT scan with dye injection throughout the fistula tract. We successfully managed him by complete surgical resection. Also, we provide the current literature that aids in the diagnosis and treatment of complete second branchial fistula.

The retroperitoneum is the anatomical compartment positioned behind the peritoneal cavity. It is separated into three primary spaces the anterior pararenal, perirenal, and posterior pararenal spaces. Retroperitoneal cystic mass is a rare surgical problem that is often wrongly identified before surgery.

We report a case of a 27-year-old female presenting with abdominal swelling and pain starting from 9months. An abdominal computed tomography scan showed a right adnexal mass with a high probability of a serous ovarian. The patient was diagnosed with ovarian tumors before surgery, but it was identified with a retroperitoneal cyst during surgery.

A retroperitoneal cyst's clinical signs and symptoms vary, and the diagnosis can often be challenging. Computed tomography scans are appropriate for assessing retroperitoneal pathology because they produce separate sectional images and couldn't find the correct diagnosis in previous cases.

Degenerative lumbar scoliosis is a prominent cause of adult spinal deformity with an increasing prevalence as the population ages. This pathology is associated with debilitating symptoms, including radicular back pain and lower extremity claudication. Surgical realignment of the spine and restoration of sagittal imbalance can reduce low back pain. Chronic sacroiliac dysfunction commonly causes low back radicular pain. We present a complicated case where stereotactic navigation facilitated an extensive fusion and decompression procedure for adult spinal deformity in an obese patient with multiple prior surgeries for scoliosis and sacroiliac joint pathology.

A 69-year-old, obese female with scoliosis refractory to multiple interventions presented with severe, radicular lower back pain. On examination of the right lower extremity (RLE), she had mild weakness (3/5 strength) and reduced sensation to light touch over its anterolateral aspect (dermatome L4). She was unable to perform single leg stance or tandem walk.
