The dual inoculation increased grain yield, stem fresh and dry weights by 11.6, 11.3 and 17.2%, respectively; it also enhanced total plant fresh and dry weights by 6.1 and 10.2%, respectively, as compared to control. As a result, the dual inoculation significantly improved catalase (CAT), but decreased ascorbate peroxidase (APX) and guaiacol peroxidase (GPX) enzymes activities, as compared to control plants. Salt stress significantly increased (CAT) activity in the leaves, whereas it resulted in significant reduction in (APX) and (GPX) activity, especially in inoculated plants. Furthermore, dual inoculation decreased Na and subsequently increased K concentration in coriander leaves comparing with untreated plants. Overall, these results indicate that the PGPRs has improved coriander growth under control as well as salt stress conditions. Thus, PGPR can could significantly contribute to solve the coriander plant production problems caused by high salinity.An innovative strategy was developed for the estimation of a fixed dose combination containing Alogliptin (ALO) and pioglitazone (PIO) using induced concept for resolving the overlapped spectra, lacking isoabsorptive point. This strategy is based on coupling factors as numerical values or ratios as spectrum form with the recorded signals leading to induced mathematical filtration of the drug of interest and complete elimination of the interfering one in the combination without prior physical separation. The calculated factors were factor of equality in induced dual wavelength (IDW) or absorptivity factor in induced concentration subtraction method (ICS) while absorptivity ratio spectrum for induced amplitude modulation method (IAM). The calibration curves displayed linearity within 1.0-16.0 μg/mL for ALO and 2.0-22.0 μg/mL for PIO with good correlation coefficients. The induced methods specificity was also assured through the assaying different synthetic mixtures prepared to contain the two drugs in ratios approaching the ratio actually found in the marketed dosage form. The methods were applicable and suitable for estimating ALO and PIO in both bulk form and their fixed dose combination. Induced methods have been extensively validated in accordance with ICH guidelines and results demonstrated the accuracy and reproducibility in comparison to the reported method.This Special Issue (SI) was conceptualized on the basis that success in tackling foodborne and waterborne parasites (FBP and WBP) will contribute to achievement of seven of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We chose to take a closer look at research on FBP and WBP in Africa, given that attaining these SDGs may be particularly challenging there. In this SI we present 7 articles that provide particular insights into FBP and WBP from different regions in Africa. The articles take different approaches. Three papers are reviews addressing "occurrence" (either widely, in terms of parasite and/or geography, or with focus on a specific parasite genus at a more regional level); all 3 articles emphasise the importance of a "One Health" approach regarding control and prevention of FBP and WBP, and the need for further research to fulfil the information gaps identified. Two articles then report on investigations regarding the knowledge and understanding of different communities in Africa regarding various FBP and WBP. These articles highlight lack of awareness among communities at risk, and also, perhaps of greater relevance, gaps in the knowledge of health workers regarding some FBP and WBP of public health importance. The final two articles are research articles regarding prevalence and occurrence of specific WBP, both as infections and in the environment. We anticipate significant advances in research on FBP and WBP in Africa, and hope that a future SI on the same topic may present a more positive picture regarding the current status and research achievements.Despite increased malaria control efforts, school-aged children (5-14 years) have higher a malaria prevalence compared to children under-five. In high-transmission settings, up to 70% of school-aged children harbour malaria parasitaemia and therefore contribute significantly to the reservoir for transmission. A systematic review was performed to explore the correlation between the malaria parasite carriage in pregnant women and school-aged children living in similar endemic settings of sub Saharan Africa to inform strategies to improve targeted malaria control. In order to obtain data on malaria prevalence in pregnant women and school-aged children living in the same endemic setting, we searched the Malaria in Pregnancy Library, PubMed, Cochrane library and Web of Science in December 2018. We fit a fixed effect model to obtain a pooled risk ratio (PRR) of malaria in school-aged children versus pregnant women and used Poisson regression to estimate risk ratios in school-aged children for every increase in preves.

Dose escalation to dominant intraprostatic lesions (DILs) is a novel method to increase the therapeutic ratio in localised prostate cancer. The Stereotactic Prostate Augmented Radiotherapy with Cyberknife (SPARC) trial was designed to determine the feasibility of a focal boost defined with multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) using stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR).

Patients were included with newly diagnosed intermediate to high risk prostate cancer with at least one of Gleason score 4+3, stage T3a, or PSA>20ng/ml. Visible disease on mpMRI was mandatory and up to 2 separate nodules were allowed. All patients received androgen deprivation. Patients received 36.25Gy in 5 fractions using CyberKnife® and the DIL received a simultaneous boost to a maximum of 47.5Gy, as allowed by OAR constraints. Genitourinary (GU) and gastrointestinal (GI) toxicity was reported using the RTOG scoring criteria. International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) and EQ-5D global health scores were regularly captured.
