11 [Notice of the vacancies in the Senate] [prop. for a convention] Mr. Potter of the Senate came with a message informing this House that the seat of William Moody Esq Senator from the County of York is vacant and that Messrs Alexander Rice of York and Rufus McIntire of Parsonfield are the constitutional candidates to supply his place _ also that the seat of Erastus Foote Esq. Senator from the County of Lincoln is vacant and that Messrs Benjamin Cushing and Edward Kelleran are the constitutional candidates to fill the vacancy and also that the Senate propose a convention of both Houses tomorrow at three o'clock for the purpose of filling the vacancies in that body.

[concurrence] The House concur in the proposition for a convention tomorrow afternoon at 3 oclock and Mr. Redington is charged with a message to acquaint the Senate of the same.

[pet of Selec of New Portland] Petition of the Selectmen of New Portland praying to have their doings made valid. Read and committed to the joint standing committee on new trials. Sent up for concurrence.
