The Ronco Family.
The Ronco's are a family of French descent who have intermarried with the Indians till it is hard to tell which they most resemble. The brothers are Levi Ronco, Paul Ronco, Leusta (or Leuster) Ronco, Peter Ronco, Geo. Ronco is a son of Peters.
{1917. Lewis Ketchum names Gaspar, Leusta and John Ranco. They had a sister Lahdee, she married Piel Mitchel, but most of the children were called after her. The Indian name was Lahdeemersuck; the rest of them were Ranco's. They distinguished between the two families (I infer that part of the children were illegit.) Had a daughter by name of Molly Lahdee
Pete Ronco has been as guide, hunter, trapper & man of all work for Gardiner Grinnell who employs him more for the pleasure of his conversation than anything else. Peter once kept Grinnell from visiting Sebec Lake by telling him it was all "pudden-y" so you couldn't paddle through it
