If a man was weak and needed to be confined to the bed, they used to put him in sheets, tie him on with sheets, put a jacket onto him. Q. How was that done? A. Put a jacket onto him and lashed his hands, and he would be as comfortable as possible. The sheet about him kept him back in the bed. Q. So the jacket was- A. The same as these exactly.
