[pet. William Donnell] Petition of William Donnell of Bath for leave to change his name - was read and referred to the committee on change of names.
[pet. John P Boyd] Petition of John P Boyd that certain lands may be exempted from taxation - was read & referred to the committee on State lands. Sent up for concurrence.
[Resolve - Gilead] Resolve confirming the doings of the town of Gilead - was read and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence
[Rep. Robt H Gardiner & als] Report on petition of Robert H Gardiner & als, granting leave to bring in a bill, came down accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.
[Bill - poor -] Bill in addition to an act ascertaining what shall constitute the legal settlement, & providing for the relief and support, employment & removal of the poor - was considered & passage to a third reading refused.
[papers relative to division of Lincoln County referred] On motion of Mr Cobb Ordered, that all the papers upon the files of the Senate & also of the House of Representatives, relating to the subject of a division of the County of Lincoln presented at either session of the Legislature be taken therefrom & referred to the committee who have under consideration the petition of George Rogers & als - read and passed.
