[Resolves - pension to Jno Carlton 2nd & Elisha Douglass]

A Message came from the Senate requesting a return of the Resolves granting a pension to John Carlton 2nd & Elisha Douglass with the papers accompanying the same. The House granted the request of the Senate and the papers were sent up by the messenger.

[The Senate concurred in the election of John Holmes as Senator to Congress]

Agreeably to assignment the Senate on their part proceeded to the choice of a Senator to represent the State in the Senate of the United States from and after the 3d day of March next: upon taking the ballot, the whole number of votes given
