by taking the 3d. 4th & 10th section of the Bill into a new draft: and the House so far reconsider their vote of 8th instant passing this Bill to be engrossed as to adopt said amendments.

Petition of the Inhabitants of New Charleston for a change of the name of said town to Charleston. In Senate Feby 13th 1821 Read and committed to the joint standing Committee on Incorporation of Towns. Sent down for concurrence. Read and concurred.

[Bill - duties of Insurance Companies]

Bill "to define the powers, duties & restrictions of Insurance Companies" Read a first and second time and tomorrow at 9 oclock assigned for a third Reading.

Returned Order of Notice on petition of William Kennard and others. In Senate Feby 13 1821 Read and committed with the order hereon of 24th June last to the Committee on Interior Fisheries. Sent down for concurrence. Read and concurred.

[Committee - bonds]

Ordered That Messrs Reed of Waldoboro, Hobbs of Waterboro' & Fletcher of Lincolnville be a Committee to consider what alterations if any are necessary or expedient in "An Act providing that Bonds shall be given by Sheriffs and Coroners to the Treasurer of this State and giving remedies thereon" passed June 24th 1820, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. Read and passed.
