[Reports on petitions committed to Committee on Parishes etc.] The Joint standing Committee on Incorporation of Parishes and other Religious Societies – and ministerial and school lands – on sundry petitions referred to said Committee, reported as follows to wit – on petition of

David Rowell and others Selectmen of Madison – that petitioners cause copy of their petition and the order thereon to be posted in some publick[public] place in said Madison – and also serve a like copy on the town clerk thereof, thirty days before the sitting of the next legislature, to the end any persons interested may then and there appear & shew[show] cause, if any they have why the prayer of said petition should not be granted; also

on the petition of the Town of Anson – that petitioners cause a copy of their petition and the order thereon to be posted in some public place in said Anson, and also serve a like copy on the town clerk thereof – thirty days before the sitting of the next Legislature, to the end any persons interested may then shew[show] cause, if any they have why the prayer thereof should not be granted. – also

on the Petition of Solomon Adams and others, that the petitioners cause a copy of their petition and the order thereon to be served on the Town Clerk of Farmington and to be posted in some public place in said town thirty days before the sitting of the next Legislature, to the end persons interested may then shew[show] cause, if any they have, why the prayer of said petition should not be granted; also

on the Petition of a Committee for the Town of Sedgwick that petitioners cause a copy of their petition and the order thereon to be served on the town Clerk of said Sedgwick, and to be posted up in some public place in said town thirty days at least before the first wednesday of the first session of the next legislature, to the end any persons interested may then shew[show] cause, if any they have, why the prayer thereof should not be granted.

Which reports were severally read & accepted, and sent down for concurrence – came up concurred.
