[Petitions committed] Ordered that the petitions of Isaac Davenport - Elliot G. Vaughan & John Chaney be taken from the files of the Senate, and committed to the committee on New Trials.

[Report on pet. of A. Bourn &al.] Mr. Seaver from the Committee on Banks reported that Abner Bourn & others have leave to withdraw their petition for a Bank in Brunswick - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence - came up non concurred - and recommitted to the same committee.

[Report on pet. of I. Goodwin &al.] Mr. Seaver from the same committee also reported that Ichabod Goodwin and others, petitioners for a Bank at South Berwick have leave to bring in a Bill. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence - came up concurred.

The Order of the House respecting the expediency of appointing a special committee to investigate the pecuniary situation & concerns of the several Banks in the State was - read again and non concurred. [See page 43]
