I robert W. smith of Calais on oath do testify and say that at sometime during the past minutes[?] I heard John Sebattis say he had received from Seth W. Smith the sum of forthy five dollars, at different times during the year 1857, for the purpose of purchasing lumber & materials to build a house or[?] [underlined] ends[?] to that effect.
