[70] [1822 Jan. 15] [Petitions &c. committed] The Petition of Convers Lilly and another of Dresden praying for leave to build a bridge at Clancy's ferry over Eastern river committed in the House to the Committee on Turnpikes, bridges &c. came up for concurrence - read and concurred. The Remonstrance of Thomas McCrate and others of Wiscasset against the petition for division of Lincoln county committed in the House to the Committee who have under consideration the petition of George Rogers and others on the same subject - came up for concurrence. Read and committed in concurrence.

[Order for disch. of Committee on State printing] Order of the Senate that the Committee appointed to contract for printing for the State, be discharged from any further service - came up from the House non[double underscored] concurred[underscored]. Read and the Senate insist on their former vote to discharge the Committee. Sent down.

On motion by Mr. Bond - Ordered that the report of the Committee on public lands on the petition of the Court of Sessions for the county of Somerset be taken from the files of the Senate and committed to the Joint Standing Committee on Incorporation of Towns.

[Report of Committee] Wm. Green from the Committee on Incorporation of Towns reported that Asa Young, have leave to bring in a bill - also that Peter West Jun'r. & others have leave to bring in a bill - which reports were severally read & accepted and sent down for concurrence - came up concurred.

[Road from North line of Bingham purch. repair of tc] Order of the House that the joint standing Committee on public lands be instructed to enquire into the expediency of providing by law for repairing the State road from the North line of Bingham's Kennebec tract Northerly to the Province of Lower Canada, with leave to report by bill or otherwise - came up for concurrence. Read and concurred.
