The Petition of the Committee of the Maine Medical Society for an alteration of their Act of Incorporation was read and committed to Messrs. Holland & Wheeler.
[Resolve] Resolve on the petition of Samuel Whitney in behalf of the town of Monroe - was read - and tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a second reading - and committed to the Committee on Bills in the second reading.
[Bills] The following Bills were read the first time, and assigned for a second reading tomorrow at ten o'clock - and in the mean time committed to the Committee on Bills in the second reading, to wit - Bill in addition to an Act entitled An Act regulating Judicial process and proceedings - Bill to set off Asa Young with his estate from the town of Dearborn - and annex them to Waterville. Bill in addition to an Act regulating Elections - and a Bill to annex that part of lot numbered twenty nine which lies in the Northwest corner of Starks to the town of Industry.
[Petition] The petition of Stephen Heald and others for leave to sell Ministerial lands in Lovell was read and committed to the joint standing Committee on Parishes &c. Sent down for concurrence - came up concurred.
[Reports] Mr. Buxton from the Joint Standing Committee on Parishes, & other religious Societies and Ministerial & School lands made the following reports - to wit - That Selectmen of Eastport have leave to bring in a Bill, that Selectmen of Guilford have leave to bring in a Bill, and that Selectmen of Sangerville have leave to bring in a Bill - which reports were severally read and accepted and sent down for concurrence - and came up concurred.
