Ordered that Messrs Carpenter of Sebec, Crooke of Dover & Hathaway of Blue hill be a committee to enquire as to the expediency of remitting to Plantation No 1. in the 7th Range in the County of Penobscot four dollars and five cents of the tax apportioned on said plantation for the year of 1824 - read and passed.
Ordered that Messrs Pond of Bucksport, Dane of Kennebunk and Boutelle of Waeterville be a committee to enquire as to the expediency of some further provision by law for taking depositions - read & passed.
Resolve in favor of Heman Nye, was called up, & the vote passing the same reconsidered and the Resolve referred to Messrs Eastman of Palermo, McLane of Hope & Blake o Phillips -
Petition of William Parsons Junr of Burnt Island for a confirmation of the title to their lands, was read & referred to Messrs Hidgman of Warren Adams of Portland & McKown of Boothbay.
Bill to incorporate the Saco Falls Manufacturing Company was read a 3d time & passed tot be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill authorizing the town of Gilead to build a toll Bridge over Wild River was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence
Bill to annex certain inhabitants of Plantation No 14 or Mariasville Sotth to be the plantation of Mariasville - Read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.
Bill in addition to an act incorporating the Proprietors of the Tree Meeting house in Georgetown was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in a concurrence with the Senate.
Petition of Jonathan Tuckers & others for a Bank at Saco, was read & referred to the Committee on Banks & banking. Sent up for concurrence
