State of Maine

To all Persons to whom these Presents shall come,

Greeting:

Whereas, before Woodbury Storer, Esquire, one of our Justices of the Peace, within and for our County of Cumberland, on the first day of December, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty, Benjamin C. Millikin, of Portland, in our said County of Cumberland, was convicted of the crime of Larceny; and thereupon, by our said Justice, was sentenced to pay a fine of one dollar and costs of Court taxed at five dollars and eighty two cents, and stand committed till sentence be performed, which sentence has been fully executed; And he the said Benjamin C. Millikin, has humbly supplicated Us for mercy:

Now Know Ye, That, upon full consideration of the premises, We do hereby remit to him the said Benjamin C. Millikin, a full and free Pardon of the crime aforesaid: of which, all our Judges, Justices, Magistrates and Officers of every denomination are to take notice:

Witness Albion K. Parris, our Governor, with the advice and consent of our Council, and our Seal hereunto affixed, at Portland, the twenty sixth day of January, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty two; and in the forty sixth year of the Independence of the United States of America.
