Bill] The Senate according to assignment resumed the consideration of the Bill to establish a Court of Common Pleas - and on motion by Mr. Ripley the Senate went into committee of the whole - Mr. Poor in the chair - and after adopting sundry amendments the committee rose and made the following report - "The committee of the whole Senate to whom was referred the Bill to establish a Court of Common Pleas have had the same under consideration and made some progress therein, but not having time to finish the same, report progress and ask leave to sit again" - leave was accordingly granted
