�State of Maine KENNEBEC COUNTY, ss ON the fifth day of June, 1820, personally appeared before Nathan [Abertow] Junior Chief Justice of the Circuit Court of Common Pleas, for the Counties of Lincoln, Kennebec, and Somerset being a Court of Record for said Counties, proceeding according to the course of the common law, having original jurisdiction, unlimited in amount, keeping a record of their proceedings, and having the power of fine and imprisonment, Richard Hamilton aged Sixty years, resident in Searsport in the County of Hancock [NOTE: can not hand written words following "Hancock"] within said Circuit, who being first duly [NOTE: can not interpret handwritten word inserted crossed out word] according to law, doth, on his oath that he served in the Revolutionary war as follows, viz. in the Company commanded by Captain Plaice and Regiment commanded by Colonel Reed of the line of the State of New Hampshire upon the Continental Establishment for the period of [two] years
